Arcadio Hernandez

Arcadio Hernandez, a cherished father, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully at the home of his beloved daughter on September 26, 2024, after a long illness. Born on April 20, 1943, Arcadio was a proud veteran who served with distinction in Vietnam, embodying the values of courage and commitment throughout his life.

An avid outdoorsman, Arcadio found joy in hunting, fishing, hiking, and camping. He believed in living life to the fullest and embraced every opportunity for adventure and travel. His social nature allowed him to forge lasting friendships wherever he went, and he took pride in the meaningful relationships he built with his children’s friends, many of whom remained a part of his extended family.

At the end of his life, Arcadio reflected on his journey with gratitude, often saying he had lived a good life filled with adventure and love. He was deeply devoted to his family, serving as a loving and dedicated sibling, father, uncle, and friend.

Arcadio is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Phil, Eddie, and Victor, sister Maida, and his beloved daughter Cristina. He is survived by his loving wife, Marie; his children Cecelia, Cheyanne, Maricella, Tara, and Daniel; son-in-law Richard; sisters Lydia and Yolanda; grandchildren Alexendra, Abigail, Mollie, and Arcadio; and great-grandchildren Robert, Karter, and Kamiley.

Arcadio also leaves behind a vast network of friends and loved ones whose lives he touched and enriched throughout the years. He will be remembered for his generous spirit, adventurous heart, and unwavering love for his family.

A celebration of Arcadio's life will be held on Thursday, October 17th at Layne's Funeral Home-16 Clark Street, Battle Ground, Washington. The viewing will take place from 11 AM to 2 PM, followed by a service at 2 PM. The graveside service will be held at Lewisville Cemetery at 3:15 PM.
