Battle Ground

Bill Harold Venable, of Battle Ground, WA, passed away in the evening on November 25 at Legacy Medical Center in Vancouver, WA. He was an avid and capable fisherman from his early days on the Arkansas River in Dumas, Arkansas. Bill moved to Oregon in childhood, where he met his loving wife of 53 years, Robin. Bill was a man's man and was proud to have kept his truck running as a daily driver for over thirty years, a hallmark of his mechanical aptitude. Bill was a loving husband, father, and friend. His life was a paragon of hard work, strength of body and character, and gentle love of family. He passed in peace and with dignity. He is, and will remain, missed.

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Cody Venable; parents George and Lucille (née Porter) Venable; and sisters Ester, Bettie, Elma, Brenda, and Margaret.

He is survived by his wife, Robin; children Kandice (Scott) Womach, Joe (Kim), Jason, and Jody (AJ) Venable; brothers Kenneth, George, and Richard; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and cats, Little Red, Big Red, and Mason.
