Brush Prairie

Gayle Eileen Smith (Reed) was a steadfast Christian who spent her life loving family and friends through her gifts of caregiving and feeding people. She was a Mom to 9 children of a blended family that began for her in 1973.

A beautiful baby born in 1951 to Lloyd and Lois Reed, Gayle was raised in the Pacific Northwest and graduated from Fife High School in 1969. While rooted in Washington she made a home wherever she was while traveling to spend time with family in Texas and throughout the US.

Her devotion to God began at an early age and remained a guiding force throughout her life, which she lived with unwavering faith until she was nearly 74.

To know Gayle was to love her—her wisdom, kindness, and sense of humor touched everyone. She always had the right words for any situation. Though she will be greatly missed, her legacy will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.

She is survived by a younger brother and sister, 9 children, 22 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She will always be remembered as the matriarch of our family

Matthew 25:23                                                                                                                                                                                                            His master replied, 'Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness! '
