Georgene Donna Sandstrom

On Sunday morning February 2, 2025, Georgene Donna (Siewert) Sandstrom passed after a hard-fought battle from having a stroke. On this day we lost our mom, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and sister.

Georgene was a strong, energetic, and hard-working woman who took pride in her beautiful gardens that surrounded the home that she had shared with her late husband, Jim Sandstrom.  

She was a woman of many talents from gardening to sewing. She loved going out and searching for pretty rocks that she handpicked for her flower gardens; red agates were one of her favorites. She also liked going to rock and mineral shows, browsing the aisles for any interesting agates. Georgene also enjoyed collecting sunflower knick knacks. Thrifting was something that gave her great pleasure looking for treasures. She enjoyed watching NCIS, 9-1-1 and Bones. She loved country western music and one of her favorite groups was The Tractors. 

 She is survived by her sister Margo, three daughters, Jeanie, Tina, and Becky. Five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was a remarkable, strong, beautiful woman and will be missed so much. 

Georgene and Jim were married for 56 years when he passed in April of 2020.
