Irma Elizabeth Blomquist, 92, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. She was born November 25th,1931, to Christian and Elizabeth Foley in Spearfish, South Dakota. A member of the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church, she moved to Clark County with her family at the age of seven and later graduated from Battle Ground High School.
Irma met Neal at church in Brush Prairie and married there on Thanksgiving Day -- November 23, 1961. They settled in Yacolt where they raised their three children: Dinah (Mark Levanen), Bradley, Valerie; and they were blessed with 13 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren at the time of Irma's passing.
Irma was known by many for her outgoing and free nature. She was quick with words and puns, and made others feel at ease around her.
She and Neal have always warmly welcomed visitors to their home. She cared for the elderly and disabled for many years. Irma's Christian faith was her greatest treasure.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers: Gerald, Dick, Clifford, Bruce, Roger, Jim, Fred and Patrick; and her sisters: Eleanor Tikka, Jean Foley, and infant twin sisters.
She is survived by her Christian helpmate, her children, grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and friends.
