Kendall R. Jensen passed away peacefully in the early hours of Friday, December 20, 2024 at his home of 33 years in Yacolt, WA. 

Kendall was born on July 19,1950 in Harlan, IA to Wayne & Kathryn Jensen. Kendall & family left the farm and moved to Sioux City IA where he graduated from Riverside High School. Kendall then enlisted in the US Army, serving his tour of duty in the ASA (Army Security Agency) intercepting & decoding enemy Morse code transmissions. He was stationed in Thailand, then Germany. 

Kendall met his wife Therese in 1976 and they married in May of 1978. After a honeymoon canoeing into Canada they moved to Kalispell, MT where Kendall attended Flathead Valley Community College to earn a degree in surveying. Their oldest 2 children were born there. In 1984 they moved to Kemmerer, WY for work building the Exxon plant. Two more children were born there before they moved to WA in 1988 where Kendall began work with the Williams company as a surveyor. 

 Kendall lived his life unapologetically, he cherished his family & was always willing to help them out. Kendall loved hunting wherever & whenever he could, especially for antelope in Wyoming every September. He also enjoyed fishing with his son in law & building solid furniture pieces that will remain as treasured family heirlooms. 

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Miranda, his parents, and two brothers, Larry of Commerce City, CO and Tommy of Superior, WY. He is survived by his wife Therese, son Daniel (Autumn) of Centralia, WA, daughter Christine McDaniel (Travis) and son Scott (Kaylin) all of Yacolt, 10 grandchildren and two sisters, Valerie Fort, Kalama, WA & Terri Thurlow (Bob) of Littleton, CO

A celebration of life is planned for July 19th, 2025 on Kendall’s 75th birthday.
