Patricia Ann Bates

Patricia (Pat) Bates the sixth child born to Hubert and Alice Beck came into the world August 23 1928 in Castle Rock, WA. Pat passed away in comfort and peace at her home in Battle Ground on March 30 2025 at the age of 96. She is now at her eternal home. Pat came to Battle Ground and began teaching at Central Elementary School in 1950. Pat met and married Doctor Robert Bates and began helping in the veterinary business and did so until the clinic was sold after many years. During this time they raised a family. As a business woman Pat and daughter, Kathy, owned and operated the Rose Boutique flower shop for 26 years. Patricia is preceded in death by husband Doctor Robert Bates and son David.

She is survived by sons Byron, Gregory, Timothy and daughter Kathy. Daughters in law Mary and Jessie. Stepdaughters Gretchen and Kelle, stepson Augie, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Pat was a longtime member of Battle Ground Baptist Church as a follower of Jesus Christ. In honor of Pat please give someone flowers to let them know that they are important. Funeral service is Friday, April 18, 2025 beginning at 11 am Battle Ground Baptist Church 1110 NW 6th Ave Battle Ground, WA
