Scot Allan Lang, 47, of Ridgefield, Washington, passed away on Sunday, June 9. 2024.
Scot was born March 8, 1977 to Dell and Nancy Lang in Vancouver and graduated from Prairie High School in 1995. He went on to work construction for nearly thirty years, most recently with D.R. Horton. Scot and Amber were married in August of 2008. They brought their children, Gracie and Jordon, with them into marriage and completed their family with Max and Nate.
Scot is survived by his wife Amber; his children, Gracie, Jordon, Max, and Nate; his mother, Nancy Lang; one brother, Greg (Sara) Lang; four sisters Ginger (Frank) Dowdy, Shari Huijon, Julie (Jon) Leifheit, and Megan (Justin) Altree; and 18 nephews and nieces. He is preceded in death by his father, Dell Lang.
Scot loved camping, spending time with his friends, and every year he looked forward to a bigger and better 4th of July celebration, and he expressed that with a multitude of fireworks. His love for his '71 Mustang is the stuff of legends. Scot was a gentle giant of a man; it was beautiful to see his strong hands cradle the smallest of babies. A man who gave out his smiles sparingly, but gave his love unconditionally. Above all, Scot loved his family. An excellent big brother, he translated those skills into being the best father he could be, and everyone that knew him knew they could depend on him in times of need. The world seems like a smaller place without him in it but his memories will be cherished by many.
