Tony Karl Evert was born on May 31, 1979, in Stockholm, Sweden. His childhood years were spent in Edsbro, Sweden, where he was raised in a Christian home, and his mother planted the seed of living faith in his heart.
Tony was part of the Uppsala and later Knivsta congregations, where he was nurtured and fastened to the living Christianity. Tony married Nicole Korpela in 2003, and then resided in America for the majority of his married life as they raised their five children together.
Tony's gift of a bold and honest nature came out through his love for the souls of people that were dear to him. He was content with a simple life and especially enjoyed Christian fellowship.
His battle with cancer tested his faith, but he bore his trial with patience and simple faith that God would give the strength for each day. Tony died peacefully at home on March 17, 2025, surrounded by his family.
Tony is survived by his wife, Nicole Gronvall; children Dean, Jonah, Sienna, Victoria, and Thomas; siblings Fredrik Gronvall of Burvik, Sweden, Anette (Isko) Karevaare of Knivsta, Sweden, Susanne (Mattias) Nilsson of Knivsta, Sweden, and Jimmy (Jenny) Gronvall of Enköping, Sweden; along with many dear relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sigvard and Aino Gronvall and his nephew Melvin Nilsson.
Tony was a member of the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church.
