William (Bill) J. Cook passed away in Vancouver, Washington.
He was born in Woodland, Washington to John and Lillian Cook.
Bill was preceded in death by the love of his life, Sharon J. Cook.
Bill loved growing up at the end of Little Kalama Rd where he grew his passion for the great outdoors. He loved camping, fishing (he knew what to use to get'em), hunting (he got his deer and elk every year), going for drives in the mountains, and B.S.ing with family, friend, and complete strangers. At a young age Bill started his career in logging. He became a highly skilled shovel operator. Most companies were calling him to work for them. He never worried about a job.
Bill loved his large family. He had 4 children, Dean (Jaya) Cook, Diane Cook, Branda Tsugawa, and KayDell White. He enjoyed all of his 11 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. He was the youngest of 10 children. His siblings Doris James, Evelyn Phumphrey, Frances Davis, Frank, Cliff, Dick, Melvin, Vern, and Jerry Cook all preceded him in death as well as his parents. He enjoyed being uncle to so many nieces and nephews, too many to mention.
We will miss him greeting us with "Howdy-Howdy" and giving us his smile and a wave. And knowing that he was always there when we needed anything.
Services for Bill will be at Highland Lutheran Church in La Center, WA with graveside services right after.
Please join us after for dinner at the Vets Hall in Woodland, WA to share memories and stories with each other!
