Yvonne Merie Koskiniemi

Yvonne Merie (Nelson) Koskiniemi was born on March 9th, 1939 in Virginia, Minnesota the oldest child of Florence and Harold Nelson. 

Yvonne married Byron KoskiniemiApril 25th, 1959. Yvonne and Byron lived in Minnesota, Montana, and Oregon before settling in Battle Ground, Washington in 1969. 

Yvonne was a talented seamstress, sewing clothing, home décor, and in her later years unique quilts for and with her grandchildren. A member of the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church, Yvonne's faith was foremost in her life. 

Yvonne is survived by her Children Todd/Shawn of BG, Jill/Mike Reddig of Kalispell, MT., Paul/Marlene of BG, Tom/Kristina of La Center, Troy/Susan of BG, and Lora/Carter Kruse of Ranchester, WY. Her brothers Robert/Darlene Nelson of Duluth, MN and Steve/Pam Nelson of Woodland, WA. In-laws Violet Nelson of Wadena, MN., Charlie & Audrey Lobbestael of Detroit, MI. and Ken & Peggy Koskiniemi of Dallas, TX.

50 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. 

Preceding Yvonne in death were her husband Byron Koskiniemi, Brother Stanley Nelson and Roger Nelson, sister Marguerite Harvester and great grandson Kevin Taylor.
